An independent, information-first platform on the Malta Permanent Residence Programme. Who we are, how we work and what we are not.
What this platform is
The Malta MPRP Guide is an independent information platform about the Malta Permanent Residence Programme. Our purpose is to give people researching the programme accurate, verifiable, plain-English information — requirements, costs, property, family, process and documents — together with interactive tools that help them understand their own situation.
What this platform is not
We are not the Government of Malta, the Residency Malta Agency or any public authority, and we do not represent them. We do not decide eligibility, process applications or issue permits. Official information is published by the Residency Malta Agency at residencymalta.gov.mt, and the governing law is Subsidiary Legislation 217.26.
How we work
- Primary sources first. Every requirement and figure is taken from the consolidated regulations, the Legal Notices that amend them, or the Agency's official pages and publications — and linked to the source.
- Visible verification. Each important page shows when it was last verified and against which documents. Our content-review system flags pages for re-verification after a configurable interval and whenever a source changes.
- Clear labelling. We separate official requirements from professional interpretation, general information and editorial explanation.
- No sales pressure. We do not make claims about approval rates, guaranteed outcomes or processing times that the regulations do not support.
Property listings and enquiries
Where we display property listings from partner agencies, they are shown to help you explore the qualifying-property requirement. A listing marked as meeting the minimum threshold means only that its price or rent is at or above the regulatory minimum. If you send an enquiry we may pass it to the listing agency or a licensed professional; see the privacy policy.
