Monitoring

We monitor the Government Gazette (legislation.mt) and the Residency Malta Agency's website for new Legal Notices, guidelines and FAQ versions.

When something changes

1. The change is recorded in the updates section with: what changed, what previously applied, what currently applies, who is affected, the official source, its publication date and the date we verified it.
2. Affected fee rows are closed with an end date and new rows created — historical figures are never overwritten.
3. Affected pages are marked "Needs Review", re-verified and their verification date refreshed.
4. Version history is kept for every important change (old version, new version, editor, date, source, reason).

Historical rules

Historical requirements are always presented as historical, with the period in which they applied. Applications submitted before an amendment may remain governed by the earlier rules (see, for example, the transitory provision in Legal Notice 310 of 2024); we note this where relevant.

Review interval

Even without a known change, every important page is re-verified at least every 90 days.
