Malta Public Transport's single-journey fare on day services is €2.00 in the winter period, valid for two hours when paying cash or contactless.
What changed
The seasonal fare change: the winter single fare of €2.00 applies from 19 October 2025 until 13 June 2026.
What was previously applicable
The summer single fare applied until 18 October 2025.
What is currently applicable
€2.00 single journey (2-hour validity) on day services; residents with a personalised tallinja card continue to travel free under the Government scheme.
Who may be affected
Bus passengers paying single fares; visitors and residents without the tallinja scheme.
