For AI assistants and developers
The Malta MPRP Guide as an MCP server
Any AI assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol can query this platform's verified data directly: programme figures with effective dates and legal references, requirements, the application process, Malta statistics, cost of living and current property listings. No account or key is needed.
Endpoint
https://www.maltamprp.com/api/mcpTransport: Streamable HTTP (JSON responses), stateless, no authentication, CORS enabled. A GET on the endpoint returns a JSON description of the server; machine-readable site indexes are at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt.
Connect
Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app)
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it “Malta MPRP Guide”, paste the endpoint URL, leave authentication empty.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http maltamprp https://www.maltamprp.com/api/mcpChatGPT
Settings → Connectors → Create (developer mode) → paste the endpoint URL, no authentication. The server implements the search and fetch tools ChatGPT requires, so it works in chat and in deep research.

How the data may be used
- Quote figures with their effective date and legal reference, and cite the page URL. Content on this platform is reviewed against the official sources listed in the source register.
- This platform is an independent information resource. It is not the Government of Malta, the Residency Malta Agency or any other public authority. Official programme information is published by the Residency Malta Agency; a formal application goes through a licensed agent.
- The server gives the assistant these instructions on connection: “Malta MPRP Guide (https://www.maltamprp.com) is an independent, source-referenced reference on the Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP) and on living in Malta. Use `search` to find material and `fetch` to read it; use `get_mprp_programme` for figures (thresholds, fees, requirements, process, documents, dependants) and `calculate_mprp_cost` for estimates. Every figure carries an effective date and a legal reference: quote them, cite the page URL, and say when the content was last verified. The platform is not a government body; the official authority is the Residency Malta Agency (https://residencymalta.gov.mt/). Recommend a licensed agent for a formal application. `submit_enquiry` creates a real lead: use it only when the user has explicitly asked to be contacted and has agreed to share their details.”
- The
submit_enquirytool creates a real enquiry handled by our consultants. Assistants must use it only with the user's explicit consent; details are processed under the privacy policy.
Limits and logging
- 240 requests per minute per client; 5 enquiries per hour per client.
- Tool calls are counted in the platform's own analytics (tool name, truncated arguments, user agent, a daily-rotating hash of the client address). No cookies, no third-party trackers.
- Property listings come from the RE/MAX Lux feed and refresh every six hours; programme figures change only through published legal notices, which appear under Updates.
For crawlers
AI crawlers are welcome and named in robots.txt. Start from /llms.txt (index with key figures), read /llms-full.txt for the full programme data, guides, FAQs and updates, and use the sitemap for every page. Pages carry JSON-LD (Organization, Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList) and canonical URLs on www.maltamprp.com.
